XY Chart NET License Activation Wizard presents the following options if an active license is not detected:

Activating a license is a 2-step process. You must first go through "Create license request" and then proceed with "Activate License".

Similarly, upgrading a license is a 2-step process. You must first go through "Upgrade License" and then "Activate License".

The first step in activating a license is to create a license request file and then send it via email to ControlEng.

The following forms are displayed during 'Create license request':

Please enter your license serial number, provided in your purchase confirmation email, and your user information before proceeding onto the next page.

Next:

1. Click on 'Create License Request file' to create an activation request file.  A 'Save XYChartNET3 License Activation Request file' dialog is displayed.  Select 'Save' to save the file at the displayed location.
2. Next, open your email client and create a new message.  Set the email's "To" and "Subject" as indicated on XY Chart NET License Activation form and attach the activation request file created in step 1.  Send the email.
3. ControlEng will immediately process the request and reply to the email with a generated license file.   

Once you have received the license file from ControlEng, launch XY Chart NET License Activation Wizard and select 'Activate License'.

The following form is displayed:

1. Click on the folder button to open the license folder location.  Copy the license file, received from ControlEng, to this folder.
2. Click on 'Activate Developer License' to generate your Runtime License Key.  Please set XYChartNET's LicenseKey property to the value displayed here.
   

For a runtime license version of XYChartNET, the control requires for the LicenseKey property to be set. Use XY Chart NET License Activation Wizard to display your License Key.

You must first Activate your license (see Activate License section above).

The following form is displayed:

The License Key is displayed in the "Runtime License Key" textbox. Set the LicenseKey property to this value.

To upgrade an existing license, select 'Upgrade License'. Enter your new serial number in the License Information screen and, if applicable, edit your user information before proceeding onto the next page.

In the Create License Request page:

1. Click on 'Create License Request file' to create an activation request file.  A 'Save XYChartNET3 License Activation Request file' dialog is displayed.  Select 'Save' to save the file at the displayed location.
2. Next, open your email client and create a new message.  Set the email's "To" and "Subject" as indicated on XY Chart NET License Activation form and attach the activation request file created in step 1.  Send the email.
3. ControlEng will immediately process the request and reply to the email with a generated license file.   
   

Once you have received the new license file from ControlEng, launch XY Chart NET License Activation Wizard and select 'Activate License'.
